Joannie Rochette - 2010 Winter Olym...This is my own video of Canadian figure skater Joannie Rochette performing her short program at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. She skated perfectly and finished third. This was incredible considering she learned only two days earlier that her mother had died of a heart attack just shortly after arriving in Vancouver from Montreal. The crowd gave her a well deserved huge ovation. I am primarily a WWE wrestling and Formula One racing fan but have attended several figure skating events: Skate Canada 2006 in Victoria, 2008 Canadian Championships in Vancouver, Skate America 2008 in Everett near Seattle, and 2009 World Figure Skating Championships in Los Angeles. During these Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where I live, I attended the men's, ice dance, and ladies events.
